Molly Zacher
she/her

Molly is a portrait and lifestyle photographer

She has a BFA in photography from Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD), where she met Vada. She has since worked with a variety of clients, including Anthropologie (URBN), Maybelline, Calvin Klein, Ralph Lauren, Target, Bloomingdale’s, Equinox and Naghedi.

Vada Ortiz (Vay-duh)

Vada is an art director and graphic designer

She has a BFA in graphic design and a minor in photography from Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD), where she met Molly. She has since worked at and with a variety of agencies and clients, including SoulCycle, Converse, Whitney Museum of American Art, WØRKS, Koto, FutureBrand and Even/Odd.

our vision

the wind embodies the duality of wind itself—the natural flexibility to go wherever creativity leads, paired with the focused strength that drives meaningful movement.

Through years of individual practice, we've discovered how our contrasting aesthetics create something greater together. Molly brings soft, feminine, and naturally-lit photographic sensibilities, while Vada contributes gothic, moody, and architecturally-structured graphic design. This counterbalance of light and dark, organic and geometric, creates our distinctive artistic vision.

While we each maintain our unique perspectives, we adapt fluidly to client needs, explore fresh viewpoints, and consistently push creative boundaries. This approach allows us to grow alongside our work and deliver solutions that feel both contemporary and timeless.We prioritize quality craftsmanship, clear communication, and efficient collaboration.

about the wind

the wind began as a shared vision in the summer of 2018. Molly and Vada, living on opposite coasts while building their careers, dreamed of combining their complementary skills in the same city. They envisioned creating work that would fully utilize their creative partnership—collaborating on projects that pushed boundaries, traveling for shoots, and developing compelling visual narratives for diverse clients around the world.

They set an ambitious timeline for this vision, hoping to make it reality by their thirties, and let this goal guide their career decisions in the years that followed.In September 2021, Vada moved to NYC to join Molly, bringing their partnership one step closer to reality. They began collaborating on select projects, supporting each other's individual work, and building their creative synergy—the wind was gaining momentum.

By 2025, both had transitioned to freelance work that provided the flexibility they'd always sought. During a coffee shop meeting in the West Village, they reviewed their collaborative portfolio and realized the moment had arrived. That day, they launched the wind—formalizing years of shared vision into a creative partnership ready to take on the world.
